Dan Herkey won his first ABT title by defeating Tim Frenz 192-179 in our combination singles event at Voelker’s Lanes. Dan is 30 years old and employed as a main frame production control specialist for Sitel Operating Corp. He is engaged to Beth Rogers and they have a 2-year-old son Daniel Jr. Dan has been bowling since age 5 and bowls leagues in several local centers. He has a high game of 300 and a 770 high series to his credit. Dan was using a Roto Grip Cell drilled by Brian Ruszala at Big Daddy’s Pro Shop inside Kenmore Lanes. Besides bowling Dan also enjoys taking care of the two rescue puppies that he and Beth just adopted. Dan thanked his parents for getting him started in bowling, the ABT and Voelker’s for having the tournament and his family and the spectators for their support. Dan said he prefers the combo format because they produce better prize funds. CONGRATULATIONS Dan!
