Sheena Wang became our first woman champion by defeating Ryan McKinney 205-190 at AMF Thruway Lanes. In match one of the stepladder finals Sheena Wang defeated Justin Maiorana 176-158 to advance to the championship match against top seed Ryan McKinney. The title match was close but a clutch double late in the match gave Sheena the win 205-190. Champion’s Profile: Sheena Wang is a 27-year-old bio-med student at UB. She has been bowling for 7 years and currently bowls league at AMF Thruway Lanes. Her high game is 247 and she has a 603 high series to her credit. Sheena was using an Elite R43 drilled by Jack Jurek at the Bowlers Choice Pro Shop inside Transit Lanes. She credits David Lucas and Chin Kok Ooi as having helped her to improve her game. Sheena thanked her mom and sister for their support, AMF Thruway Lanes for hosting the event and everyone in the ABT for making an effort to make everyone feel welcome. Sheena said her winnings would be used for more ABT events and wished good luck to all future ABT bowlers.
