Brian Ruszala won his second ABT title by defeating Julie Selk 228-200 at AMF Lancaster Lanes. In match one of the stepladder finals Brian Ruszala defeated Pat Galligan 208-194 to advance to the championship match against top seed Julie Selk. In the title match Julie built a 25-pin lead after 4 frames but then the wheels fell off as she opened in the next 3 frames. Brian took advantage of his opportunity as he strung a 5-bagger in frames 6-10 to build a commanding lead. Julie closed with 4 strikes in the 9th and 10th frames but it was too little too late as Brian went on to win by the final score of 228-200. Champion’s Profile: Brian Ruszala is 35 years old and owns and operates Big Daddy’s Pro shop inside Kenmore Lanes. He and his significant other Patricia have 4 children, Leah, Jennifer, Christina and Alicia ages 23, 21, 18 and 15. Brian has been bowling since age 10 and currently bowls league at Kenmore Lanes. His high game is 300 and he has an 800 high series to his credit. Brian was using a Columbia Pulse this week that he drilled himself. He credits John Grieco as having helped him with his game. Brian thanked Patricia for her support, the ABT for coming to Buffalo and AMF Lancaster for hosting the event. His winnings will be used for home improvements and more ABT events. Brian said he prefers the separate division events and hopes that the ABT will continue to grow. CONGRATULATIONS BRIAN!Tournament Notes: In addition to winning his second ABT title this week Brian also won a Tropical Storm ball by posting the high series on the 11:00am squad. Nice bowling Brian.
