Sean Parry won his first ABT title by defeating Ron Hubbell 199-190 at Broadway Sports Center. In round one of the match play finals Ron Hubbell defeated Eric Maundrell 231-195 and Sean Parry defeated Pat Galligan Jr. 282-150. The title match was close but consecutive splits for Ron in frames 5 and 6 were his downfall as Sean went on to win by the final score of 199-190. Champion’s Profile: Sean Parry is 43 years old and employed as a lane maintenance man for Kenmore Lanes. He is currently single and has a 17-year-old daughter named Shawn. Sean has been bowling since age 8 and bowls league at Kenmore and in the Travel A League. His high game is 300 and he has a high series of 847 to his credit. Sean was using a Scorching Inferno drilled at the Bowlers Choice Pro Shop at Transit Lanes. He credits Bruce Heim and Jack Jurek as having helped him with his game. Sean thanked Bruce and Jack for their help, the ABT for providing the opportunity to bowl and Broadway Sports Center for hosting the event. He plans to use his winnings to pay bills. Sean said that the ABT is a well-run tournament and he hopes more bowlers will give it a try. CONGRATULATIONS Sean!
