Brian Hoock earned his “black shirt” by winning his second ABT title with a 174-167 victory over Steve Highland at AMF Airport Lanes. In game one of the match play finals Steve Highland defeated John Fraterrigo 180-159 and Brian Hoock defeated Isaac Layton Jr. 177-162. In the championship match Brian Hoock defeated Steve Highland 174-167 to claim his second title. Champion’s Profile: Brian Hoock is 26 years old and employed as a customer service rep for Black Angus Meats. He has been bowling since age 5 and currently bowls league at Manor Lanes. Brian has a high game of 279 and a 730 high series to his credit. He was using a Brunswick PBA Inferno drilled by Doug Heim at the National Bowling Store in N. Tonawanda. Brian credits Eric Laschinger and Justin Knobloch as having helped him to improve his game. He thanked the ABT for coming to WNY, AMF Airport Lanes for hosting the event, and his parents for their support. Brian said he likes the one-day format and that the ABT is very well run.
