One week after watching his son win for the first time Paul Melidona did the same with a 234-224 victory over Justin Knobloch. In match one of the stepladder finals Todd Gehm defeated Ron Hubbell 248-219. In match two Todd defeated Anthony Melidona 245-208. In match three Paul Melidona avenged his sons’ defeat by eliminating Todd Gehm 218-183. The title match came down to the 10th frame where a clutch double by Paul gave him just enough to defeat top seed Justin Knobloch 234-224. Champion’s Profile: Paul Melidona is 52 years old and employed as a district manager for US Food Service. He is married to Kathy and they have 3 children, Kristin, Anthony and Daniel, ages 23, 20 and 18. Paul has been bowling for 40 years and currently bowls league at Transit Lanes. He has a high game of 279 and a 778 high series to his credit. Paul was using a Columbia Rock On drilled at the Bowlers Choice Pro Shop. He credits his two sons as having helped him with his game and he thanked Anthony for getting him on the right track this week. Paul said that the ABT is a great tournament. It is run professionally and the competition is very energizing. CONGRATULATIONS Paul!
