Rich Parrish won his first ABT Masters title by defeating top seed Rickey Grant 253-198. George Whittier opened the stepladder finals by defeating Jason Szeluga 258-230. Rich Parrish then knocked off George Whittier 209-183 and Kurt Schriever 251-244 to advance to the title match. Rickey Grant never got going in the championship match and Rich Parrish was able to cruise to the 253-198 victory. Champion’s Profile: Rich Parrish is 34 years old and employed as an office manager / dispatcher for Relco Systems. He is married to Lisa and they have two children, Samantha and Ethan ages 3 and 10. Rich has been bowling since junior leagues and currently bowls at Spare Time Bowling Center. He has a high game of 286 and a 757 high series to his credit. Rich was rolling a Brunswick Ultimate Inferno drilled by Dave at Spare Time Bowling Center. He credits his dad as having helped him learn to bowl. Rich thanked his mom and dad for their support and his wife for letting him bowl. Rich said he enjoyed the tournament format and that the shot was nice.
